Future-proof design
The SDX supports a FlexModule. This allows you to customize the ports of the router according to your requirements. You are also future-proofed in that you can use new technologies as soon as they become available.
The Peplink team will develop additional FlexModules when new technologies - such as 5G - become available. You can then simply plug in the new FlexModule and the SDX can use the new technology (e.g. 5G). This eliminates the need to buy a new router to keep up to date.
Modular system. Complete flexibility.
3x Mobile WAN
Combine cellular connections for wireless SD-WAN backups with the main connection. A 5G FlexModule will be available soon!
8x copper WAN/LAN
Connect PoE-capable modems in the WAN or connect PoE devices such as cameras, IP telephones and WLAN APs in the LAN.
4x fiber optic WAN/LAN
Create a fiber optic network by connecting fiber optic WANs and LAN switches.
Please note that the modules are not included in the scope of delivery . You can also order these as accessories from us here.
Enterprise Ready
Even without a FlexModule, the SDX is ready to be used in a branch office. The router comes complete with 2x Ethernet WAN, 2x Gigabit Fiber WAN and 2x USB WAN ports. It therefore allows connections from several sources. The 8 integrated LAN ports can also supply devices with power via PoE+.
Speed & reliability. Through SpeedFusionâ„¢.
Of course, the Balance SDX comes bundled with the well-known SpeedFusion technology, which allows users to combine any number of connections into one. This ensures maximum stability. Here is an overview of the most important SpeedFusion benefits:
Bandwidths
bundling
Combine the bandwidth of several mobile connections to create an ultra-fast, stable data connection. Keep bandwidth-hungry and latency-sensitive tasks alive without requiring fixed lines.
Hot failover
Hot Failover manages secure tunnels across all available WAN connections. This keeps the network alive even if a connection should fail. In this case, SpeedFusion immediately forwards the data traffic to a functioning tunnel.
Provider-neutral
SpeedFusion is provider-neutral. By combining the networks of several mobile phone providers, the probability of running into a blind spot or network congestion is minimized.
WAN Smoothing
WAN smoothing is used to assign the network traffic to the WAN connection with the lowest latency. This allows you to use multiple WAN connections to obtain a single, interference-free data stream.
