Virtually indestructible video streaming
The SpeedFusion Engine Cam (SFE Cam) uses SpeedFusion bandwidth aggregation technology to combine the reliability and bandwidth of two cellular connections and WLAN. This ensures a solid data connection for live streaming*. With redundant SIM slots, the SFE Cam offers a total of four SIM cards to choose from. WAN smoothing and FEC protect your video stream from the effects of packet loss.
Portable, Integrated
The SFE-Cam is a self-contained unit with everything you need for seamless video streaming - including the supplied antennas. It is supplied with power via a Gold Mount or a V-Mount and connected via an RJ45 Ethernet LAN. The set-up process is quick and easy. Because everything is integrated into the IP camera, reporters have the speed and mobility they need to quickly capture live news wherever it occurs.
Mobile radio hub
With its WLAN radio, the SFE Cam transforms your IP camera into a portable hotspot with VPN access to the control center. You can use this hotspot to connect laptops for post-production or even another IP camera for video streaming. A hotspot that travels with your IP camera gives you extra flexibility when and where you need it most.
Central management of data plans, location tracking
Use GPS to track the location of each IP camera. This also ensures that the event is captured from all angles. For installations with multiple IP cameras and pooled SIM data, you can use the central management platform InControl to monitor the data usage of the SIM card. If your network exceeds the bandwidth limit for a SIM card or SIM pool, you will receive e-mail notifications.
Use case: Live reporting.
In this deployment, the SpeedFusion Engine Cam (SFE Cam) streams the video to the data center using the bundled bandwidth of two LTE connections. It therefore creates reliable and consistent connectivity. The video stream is received by a balance router in the data center and forwarded to the media server for decoding and post-processing. Within the SpeedFusion connection, WAN smoothing and FEC mitigate the effects of packet loss. This ensures smooth and consistent video streaming. Each mobile connection supports a redundant SIM card, so you can choose between four providers.
The SFE-Cam connects directly to your IP camera via the Gold Mount or V-Mount and the RJ45 Ethernet LAN connection, allowing you to set it up quickly and stream live from anywhere. The SFE Cam is equipped with a WLAN radio that can be used either as an additional WAN for bandwidth connection or as a hotspot for connecting another IP camera.
* The cameras must have an integrated streaming encoder with LAN or Wi-Fi connectivity.
