The LTE-Advanced mobile communications standard - also known as 4.5G - is already available in many countries worldwide; the router therefore offers long-term future security thanks to higher data transmission rates and a lower price compared to its predecessor model.
Especially in mobile use, the integrated LTE-A/GPS modems guarantee an uninterrupted mobile connection everywhere thanks to the additional support of the UMTS mobile communications standard. The transition between different mobile communications standards is seamless. The Multichannel VPN Router 520 always uses the best available connection and has a significantly higher throughput compared to its predecessor model 511. Thanks to the GPS function, the current location of the router can also be read out in the administration tool at any time. This geo-tracking is very helpful for efficient fleet or vehicle fleet management.
SIM cards from different mobile network providers can be used in four card holders, even across national borders, to supply coaches, trains, ships, commercial and construction site vehicles, cars with professional multimedia equipment and much more. The integrated W-LAN access point with 2.4 or 5 GHz (dual band) makes the available bandwidth available to any user.
Other areas of application include the connection of event venues, video transmission via backpack-style transmission stations as a replacement for OB vans, or the highly available and encrypted connection of emergency vehicles with sovereign tasks (police, fire department, military, rescue services).
