Nuremberg, October 2021 – Children suffer particularly in emergency situations. Kinderhilfe Eckental has been supporting sick and injured children who need emergency treatment for years with the “Cuddly Ralphi”. The cuddly teddy bear gives the children great pleasure, provides them with security and helps them overcome pain and anxiety. ASCEND GmbH has now supported the campaign with a donation of EUR 500. “As a result, 50 new comforter teddies have already been delivered to hospital emergency rooms and rescue services in the district of Nuremberg,” says a delighted Corinna Steffl, office manager at Kinderhilfe Eckental GmbH.

“For us, the donation is a matter of the heart”

“The donation is a matter close to our hearts,” says Christian Heckel, Managing Director of ASCEND GmbH. According to an emergency doctor, the fluffy comforters are a sedative that is free of side effects and takes away the horror of an accident and the fear of hospital for injured children. They can use it to show them where it hurts, and the attending doctor can demonstrate how to listen to the heart and lungs or apply a bandage. In this way, the moment loses its horror and traumatization is prevented.
