The integrated W-LAN access point with 2.4 or 5 GHz (dual band) makes the available bandwidth available to any user.

Other areas of application include the connection of event venues, video transmission via backpack-style transmission stations as a replacement for OB vans, or the highly available and encrypted connection of emergency vehicles with sovereign tasks (police, fire department, military, rescue services). The Multichannel VPN Routers 511/512 are characterized by a robust and energy-saving design. As a ready-to-use solution, they are supplied with 12 antennas (8x LTE, 3x W-LAN and 1x GPS). Alternatively, external MIMO antennas can also be connected to the eight SMA sockets. They therefore meet all the requirements for a fast and highly available Internet connection for a wide range of applications.

As different frequencies are used for the fourth generation of mobile networks, there are different models in the series, each designed for one region. The 511 model has so far been designed for use in North America, while the 512 model is intended for use in Europe and Australia.
