ASCEND and Vitel support the IsarOpen in several ways

Watch matches via livestream on your smartphone, tablet or laptop and call up all the latest news online in real time: Thanks to WAN bonding solutions from ASCEND GmbH, which is supported by Vitel GmbH and is also a sponsor, the Isar Open, which has now been held for the first time, has also become an exciting live digital experience for all tennis fans.

IsarOpen

Under the name IsarOpen, the new ATP Challenger tennis tournament celebrated its premiere in Großhesselohe near Pullach from August 6 to 12, 2018. A total of 32 singles players and 16 men's doubles played out the tournament victory in exciting duels on the outskirts of Munich, before the Portuguese Pedro Sousa (30) prevailed over the well-known German tennis pro Jan-Lennard Struff (28) in the singles competition. ASCEND GmbH from Nuremberg and Vitel GmbH from Unterschleißheim, as partners of the organizer, ensured that visitors to the tournament were informed comprehensively and in real time about every move and all other events at the Pullacher Straße facility.
This was made possible by so-called (SD)-WAN bonding, with which all digitally available information can be accessed on a wide range of mobile devices, regardless of the respective connection technology. The hardware and software service providers not only provided all guests with comprehensive Internet access via WLAN hotspots on the event site. Ascend GmbH also installed software that allows data transmissions via xDSL, MPLS, mobile radio or fiber optics to appear for all users on the mobile display of their choice. Thanks to the sponsors, the user was able to continue surfing unhindered, without interruptions, despite switching to other networks. This is because smooth reception is ensured at all times by the various sources.
Thanks to SD-WAN bonding from ASCEND and Vitel, tennis fans were able to follow exciting rallies on other courts via livestream and find out about the varied accompanying program on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram - from the Players Party or Kids Day to the Latin Night or the original Bavarian morning pint on the final day. However, the Nuremberg-based company not only supported the tennis event by providing technical equipment, but also sponsored the event together with its partner Vitel GmbH. In this way, Vitel and ASCEND in particular helped in many ways to create a new, attractive sporting event in the Munich area that is sure to delight tennis fans for years to come.

ASCEND GmbH
ASCEND GmbH from Nuremberg has advanced the digital lifestyle like no other company in recent years. With its WLAN and network concepts, it supports local authorities, companies and libraries throughout Germany as well as countless public events and functions. For the service provider, top quality in terms of technology and service as well as the greatest possible safety always come first.

Vitel GmbH
Vitel GmbH from Unterschleißheim is a value-added distributor for solutions in infrastructure and security. It offers its customers an extensive product portfolio in the fields of security technology, transportation and Industrial Ethernet. Whether it's security infrastructure, video surveillance and access control or security on buses and trains, on roads and in tunnels: Vitel GmbH solutions ensure peace of mind everywhere and at all times.

IsarOpen
In February 2017, the idea of organizing an ATP Challenger tournament in Munich was born. TC Großhesselohe, which has produced such well-known tennis stars as Sylvia Hanika and Tommy Haas, was quickly found as a partner. In November 2017, a representative of the ATP visited the facility and approved the tournament, which was held for the first time from August 6 to 12, 2018 to great public interest.
