Terms of Use for Monthly Starlink Connectivity Plans

1. Scope

These terms of use apply in addition to Ascend GmbH's General Terms and Conditions to all Starlink connectivity plans ordered from Ascend. They govern in particular the contract term, termination, plan changes, fair-use principles, and activation and billing.

2. Provider Status

Ascend resells Starlink hardware and services through BRDY.

3. Contract Term and Termination

Starlink connectivity plans are offered exclusively as monthly rolling contracts. There is no minimum contract term beyond the current month. The contract automatically renews for a further month unless terminated in due form and time.

A termination notice must reach Ascend at least 5 working days before the end of the current calendar month to take effect at the end of that month. If received later, it takes effect at the end of the following month. Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays at Ascend GmbH's registered office.

4. Plan Changes

A change of the booked Starlink plan is possible at most once per current billing period. A change to a plan with a lower service level (downgrade) takes effect at the end of the current billing period; a change to a higher-value plan (upgrade) may, by arrangement, also take effect during the period.

5. Fair Use and Data Throttling

Each Starlink plan includes a prioritized data allowance (priority data allowance). Once this allowance is fully used, the connection speed is reduced for the remainder of the current billing period to up to 1 Mbit/s download and 0.5 Mbit/s upload. In all other respects, Starlink's current fair-use and service policies, publicly available at https://www.starlink.com/legal, apply in addition.

6. Activation, Shipping and First Invoice

Starlink hardware is shipped after receipt of payment. Service activation of the booked plan follows the shipment of the hardware. The first invoice for the plan is prorated for the period from activation until the end of the respective calendar month.
